Altamont/CHBC Blanks St. Teresa In Soccer

Altamont/Beecher City-Cowden-Herrick Co-op blanked Decatur St. Teresa, 7-0 in high school soccer competition Saturday.

The Indians' Tucker Short scored the first goal at 28:35 in the first half. Martin Cook then tallied at 20:55 on an assist by Short. The score went to 3-0 when Isaac Crow scored a goal at 7:39. Short connected on back-to-back goals for a total of three in the opening half, the second one at 1:26 and the third one at :57. Altamont/CHBC held a 5-0 halftime lead.

Then in the second half, Short found goal for his fourth of the contest at 10:55. Kolby Brewer finished out the Altamont/CHBC scoring at 4:33.

Altamont/CHBC took 33 shots, 22 on goal and had three saves. Robbins had two saves in the goalkeeper's post while Abendroth had one.

St. Teresa had five shots, three on goal and 15 saves.

Short has now scored eight goals in two matches for Altamont.
