Lincoln defeated Effingham 3-2 Thursday on Senior Night at EHS.

Effingham Coach Weston Peno said, "The first half was primarily controlled by Lincoln. They had some solid looks and got an early lead. We fought hard and made them work for every goal, but it just wasn't enough early on. The second half came with some big changes. We pulled two of our midfielders down, Victor Carillo and Armando Estrada. That allowed Effingham to control the ball with their defensive line, creating lots of opportunities. From there, Effingham played very well and got a few good looks."

Carillo and Estrada were Effingham's scorers. Brandon Duncan had 10 saves.

Effingham's JV team lost 3-1. Jett McMillian scored the lone Effingham goal, a long chip from only a few feet off the half line to catch their goalie, who pushed out too far.
