Effingham High School handed Teutopolis a 4-2 loss in varsity soccer competition Monday.

Cooper Jackson led the Hearts with two goals. Victor Carrillo and Bryan Angel scored a goal each.

Ethan Boggs had four saves for the Hearts.

In the junior varsity match, Effingham claimed a 1-0 win. Jett McMillan scored the lone EHS goal. Dylan Cunningham had six saves.
