France Wins World Cup, Beat Croatia

France won its second World Cup title, beating Croatia 4-2 in a game that was briefly stopped when several protesters ran onto the field.

France coach Didier Deschamps became only the third man to win the World Cup as a player and a coach as he was France's captain when it won the cup 20 years ago.

 

Odds Opened on 2022 Tourney

Just hours after France won the World Cup, the Westgate Las Vegas Super Book opened odds on the 2022 tournament, which will be held in Qatar.  Brazil opens as 6-1 favorites, followed by France at +650 and Germany at 7-1. Croatia is at 30-1, while third-place Belgium has 12-1 odds. The United States, which didn't qualify this year, opened as 60-1 long shots.
