EHS, Lincoln Play To 3-3 Soccer Tie

Efifngham High School was celebrating Senior Night and played Lincoln to a 3-3 tie in soccer action Thursday.

In the first half, Lincoln's Beared scored with 25 minutes showing. Effingham's Victor Carillo tallied a goal with a minute left. Alex Paisley had three saves for the Hearts.

In the second half, Carillo pushed the Hearts ahead with his second goal at 25 minutes. Lincoln's Beard scored goals at the 18th and 17th minutes. The Hearts tied at 3-3 on a goal by Cooper Jackson with five minutes remaining.

The Hearts will begin regional play Tuesday against Carterville at 7 p.m. at the Class 2A Carbondale Regional.
