Altamont Tribe Wrap Up Regular Season

The Altamont Tribe club soccer team wrapped up its regular season Sunday at Altamont.

Altamont and Robinson tied 5-5.  Robinson led by two goals on two separate occasions, but Altamont fought back with two late goals for the tie.  For Altamont, Joe Stone had four goals and Wyatt Vaughn had one goal.  Jacob Lucy and Bryce Kollman shared the goalkeeping duties for Altamont.

Newton won over Robinson 5-3.

Altamont then won over Newton 4-2.  Altamont got three goals in the first 10 minutes of the game and held on for the victory.  For Altamont, Jesus Flores had three goals and Joe Stone had one.  Bryce Kollman handled goalkeeping duties for Altamont.

The Altamont Tribe finished the regular season with five wins, two losses and two draws.

On Saturday, eight junior high teams from east central Illinois will compete in the East Central Illinois Soccer Conference Tournament at Teutopolis Junior High School.  Olney, Robinson, Newton, Teutopolis, Effingham, Mattoon, Arcola and Altamont will compete on two fields in a double-elimination format beginning at 10am and concluding with the championship game at 6:30pm.
