St. A Posts Two Firsts at Swimming Sectional, EHS Swimmers Compete

St. Anthony High School claimed two first place finishes Saturday at the Sectional Swimming and Diving Meet at Champaign Centennial High School.
Peter Keller, a junior, won the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:52.87. Keller also tied for second in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:49.47
Luke Thompson, a freshman, won the 100 yard backstroke with a time of :56.52. Thompson also claimed second place in the 200 yard IM in 2:04.25.
St. Anthony finished with a team total of 57.5 points, good for eighth place.
Effingham finished 14th at the sectional with 25 points. Effingham's Tyler Homann claimed fourth place in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:05.87. Hormann took fifth in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.51.
Effingham's Holden Arthur finished 10th in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:05.85 and 16th in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 26.17. Trent Pearcy took 16th in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:24.32 and 26th in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 29.11.
