(Chicago, IL) -- Brandon Bollig tied the game in the third but the Blackhawks suffered a 4-3 loss to the Penguins in a shootout last night at United Center. Patrick Sharp and Ben Smith also lit the lamp for Chicago, which fell to 1-0-1 in preseason action. The 'Hawks head to DC to take on the Washington Capitals tonight.
Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa will miss the team's next four preseason games with an upper-body injury. Head coach Joel Quenneville says the injury is an aggravation but that Hossa could return for Chicago's final preseason game on September 28. Hossa suffered a back injury during the Stanley Cup Final last year, but avoided surgery during the offseason.
