(Sonoma, CA) -- Martin Truex Jr. found the winner's circle to end a 218-race winless streak on Sunday at Sonoma Raceway. Truex Jr. says his winless drought was tough, but they've still competed well through it.

He led 51 out of the 110 laps on the 2.5-mile, 12-turn road course. It's the second career victory for Truex Jr., who's first win came at Dover in 2007. Jeff Gordon finished just over eight seconds behind Truex Jr. followed by Carl Edwards, Kurt Busch and Clint Bowyer. With the top-five finish, Edwards narrowed the points lead of Jimmie Johnson by six points down to 25. Next week, the Sprint Cup Series heads to Kentucky.
