The Florida Panthers are replacing interim head coach Andrew Brunette with Paul Maurice. The move was a shock since Brunette led the Panthers to the league’s best record and the Presidents' Trophy in the 2021-2022 season, though the team was defeated by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the second round

Brunette may remain with the team in another role, according to ESPN. Maurice has 24 years’ experience as a head coach for NHL teams.
