NHL Playoffs Start Tonight

The NHL's Stanley Cup Playoffs get underway tonight with three games in the Western Conference. The defending champion Los Angeles Kings face the Blues in St. Louis. The Presidents' Trophy winning Chicago Blackhawks host the Minnesota Wild. The nightcap features the Anaheim Ducks playing host to the Detroit Red Wings.

 

Colorado Avalanche Win NHL Draft Lottery

(Ottawa, Ontario) -- The Colorado Avalanche will have the first pick in this year's NHL Entry Draft. The Avs won Monday's draft lottery, earning the first-overall selection for the first time since 1991 when the team was located in Quebec. Florida will pick second, followed by Tampa Bay, Nashville and Carolina.  The NHL Draft will take place June 30.
