Rangers Finalize Extension With Andrus

(Arlington, TX) -- The Rangers have finalized an eight-year contract extension with shortstop Elvis Andrus. The new deal is worth a reported $120-million. It takes effect after the 2014 season and includes a vesting option for 2023. The 24-year-old is a two-time All-Star with a career .275 average. He hit .286 with 31 doubles and 62 runs batted in for the Rangers last season.
