Keselowski Holds Off Johnson For Win

Brad Keselowski held off Jimmy Johnson in overtime to claim the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway Monday.

Keselowski was at the back ot the field but began to work his way towards the front. With two laps remaining, Keselowski didn't pit when a caution flag with up. Chase Elliott pitted and Keselowski remained on the track with seven other cars. Keselowski then kept Johnson and Elliott from winning and picked up his first victory of the season and his first Coca-Cola 600 win.

There was a 90 minute rain delay during the first stage of the race. That pushed the finish into Monday.

Johnson finished second with Elliott third but Johnson was disqualified because his Chevrolet failed postrace inspection.

The Indy 500 is always run Memorial weekend but due to the Coronavirus, it was postponed to August for the first time since 1946.
