The New York Racing Association announced Tuesday that the Belmont Stakes will be held on June 20, delayed two weeks because of the pandemic, and for the first time will be run before the two other Triple Crown races, the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness.

The race will also be shorter, 1 1/8 miles instead of the usual 1 1/2 miles, and there will be no fans. The Derby was previously moved from May 2 to September 5 and the Preakness from May 16 to October 3.
