Pat Maroon scored with 5:50 in the second overtime and the Blues advanced to the Western Conference Final with a 2-1 win against the Dallas Stars in Game 7 of the second round at Enterprise CenterTuesday.

 

Bruins To Open Finals Against Hurricanes

The Boston Bruins will open the Eastern Conference finals against the Carolina Hurricanes tomorrow night without defenseman Charlie McAvoy. McAvoy has been suspended for one game by the NHL for an illegal check to the head of Columbus Blue Jackets forward Josh Anderson in Game 6 of their playoff series.


Oilers Hire Ken Holland As New GM

The Edmonton Oilers have hired longtime Detroit Red Wings general manager Ken Holland as their new GM and president of hockey operations. His first duty was to inform Ken Hitchcock that he won’t return as coach next season.
