Stewardson-Strasburg team members are, front row, left to right, Jacob Allen, Alex Dick, Logan Mathis, Katy Arthur and Martina Gratz. Back row, Coach Sarah Gentry.

For the second year, the Stewardson-Strasburg Comets are National Trail Conference champs in The Scholar Bowl at Altamont.

In pool play, the Comets beat Neoga 330-170, then downed South Central 360-80 and ended pool play defeating Dieterich 400-150.

That put the Comets in the championship game against St. Anthony. St. Anthony won its pool. It was a very close championship match. The Comets came out with a 310-290 win on the last question.

Logan Mathis was the Most Valuable Player for the year. The second place person had 860 points and Logan had 1,210 points for the year. This was probably a new record.

Logan Mathis won the Most Valuable Player award. With him are his parents, Kevin and Lori Mathis
