The Buffalo Sabres set a new NHL record with their 3-2 overtime win over the San Jose Sharks Tuesday night.

The Sabres finished last in the league last year, but now have a league-leading 36 points, making them the first team ever to finish the previous season with the worst record and lead the NHL after 25 games the following season.

Kings Activate Goaltender

The Los Angeles Kings have activated goaltender Jonathan Quick off injured reserve. Quick had missed the past 12 games due to a lower-body injury and has played in only four games this season.
