Keitel Again Headed to International Competition

International competition again awaits a local resident.

Effingham's Kelly Keitel finished fourth on the Double-Mini Trampoline at the 2018 USA Gymnastics National Championships in Greensboro, NC on July 7.

Keitel once again was named to Team USA and will represent the United States at the 2018 World Age Groups Trampoline and Tumbling Championships, scheduled for Nov. 15-18 at the St. Petersburg (Russia) Sports and Concert Complex. She will compete on the Double-Mini Trampoline on Friday, November 16th.

Kelly represented Team USA last year at the 2017 World Age Group Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria. She trains at Top Star Training Center in Champaign, IL. She is coached by Missy Weder (owner) and Mike VanSpankeren.

Kelly is a senior at Illinois State University majoring in Exercise Science - Pre-Physical Therapy. She is the daughter of Kal & Renee Keitel of Effingham.
