The St. Anthony boys bowling team fought back from a large deficit but still fell short against Taylorville. The Bulldogs did set a school record by shooting over 1,000 for a game for the
first time in their short history. Led by Neil Ritz's personal best and school record 290 for one game."

Taylorville pulled out a 2,697 to 2,595 victory.

"We dug ourselves too big of a hole that first game," said Coach Phil Zaccari. "We also had
trouble finishing the 10th frame in the second game but the third game we came on strong. Neil opened his game with a nine spare and then proceeded to throw 11 strikes in a row to shoot 290 leading to a 631 series.

"But it was not enough to overcome Taylorville's good start. We were only seven for 16 in covering 10 pins. That is something we need to figure out in a hurry. We did compete
strongly though and that is a good sign as we prepare to end the season next week."
