Illinois State High School Clay Target League Honors Given

Cameron Ziarko of Scales Mound High School took home top individual honors in the Illinois State High School Clay Target League's (ILSHSCTL) 2018 spring season, which wrapped up competition on May 26.  Ziarko led the field to earn the trophy for the highest overall average in the League. He'll also bring home the award for top male average overall.

Ashleigh Painter of Staunton High School earned top female average honors.  

Overall, 24 athletes will take home individual awards, while four high schools take home first place for their respective conferences.

“We are proud to congratulate all of the award winners for their success this year.” said Jim Sable, President of the ILSHSCTL, “They have really worked hard to get where they are, and we look forward to seeing them at the State Tournament.”

Altamont's Grant Schmidt was second in the season average male with a 24.0 average. First was Ty Zimmer of Bunker HIll with a 24.1 average.

Teutopolis finished second in the Class 1A-Conference 3 with 4,224 points total. Winner was Edwardsville with 4,922.5 total.
