The Washington Capitals eliminated the Columbus Blue Jackets from the NHL playoffs last night, setting up a second round showdown with the Pittsburgh Penguins. It’ll be the third straight postseason the two teams have met, with the Penguins going on to win the Stanley Cup both times.


Flames Hire Peters as Coach

The Calgary Flames have hired Bill Peters as their new head coach. Peters resigned as head coach of the Carolina Hurricanes last Friday after four seasons and a year left on his contract.
