Players Named to Academic Teams at Kaskaskia

Kaskaskia College is proud to announce that its men’s tennis team and women’s cross country team were the number one team academically in the nation.  Other teams which have been named to the 2016-17 NJCAA as an All-Academic Team were baseball, women’s golf, women’s soccer; women’s tennis and volleyball.

These individual players were named to the First Team for having a 4.0 GPA:  baseball player Nick Bates of Tuscola; soccer and basketball player Brooklynn Hamman of Poseyville, IN; cross country runners Taylor Haskenhoff of Smithton and Lucas Probst of Teutopolis; women golfers Christonia Saddler of Sandoval and Kaitlyn Smith of Highland; soccer players Emily Krebs of Breese and Brooke Moll of Perryville, MO; softball player Brooklyn Morrow of Pinckneyville; and tennis players Tanner Massa of St. Jacob, Daniel Pieplow of Flora; Zach Plocher of Highland, Jessica Staley of Flora and Alyssa Tourville of Belleville.
 
Athletes named to the Second Team for achieving a GPA of 3.8-3.99 include baseball player Bryce Beckmann of Germantown; basketball player Carly Haukapp of Trenton and Steven Julian of Louisville, KY; cross country runner Alexis Davidson of Newton; soccer player Kylie Bilek, of Perryville, MO; softball players Deidra Holzhauer of Nashville,  Allison Stolte of New Athens, and Kyla Thornton of Toledo; softball and soccer player Adrianna Oxley of Santa Claus, IN; tennis and soccer player Hannah Bartok of Harrisburg; and volleyball player Ally Pennington of Fairfield.
 
Students who were named to the Third Team for achieving a GPA of 3.6-379 are baseball player Blayke Cutts of Greenup, Zach Hrvol of Sullivan, and Jared Timmermann of New Baden; basketball player Jaylen Johnson of Chicago; cross country runners Kerry Porter of Aviston and Abby Wroblewski of Radom; golfer Brandon Middleton of Centralia; soccer players Shelby Brandmeyer of Trenton and Katie Williams of Argos, IN; softball player Kristen Eversgerd of Carlyle; tennis players Brett and Morgan Barker of Highland, Trevor Lee of Teutopolis, and Abigail Ingenreith of Walnut Hill; volleyball players Blake Nohren of Olney and Sophie Rickhoff of Bartelso.
