T-town Finishes 11th At Bass Fishing State Finals

CARLYLE -- Teutopolis High School pulled itself back from 33rd place to 11th place on the final day of the Bass Fishing State Finals Thursday.

T-town caught only one fish for a total weight of 1 3/16th pounds on the first day but came back with three fish weighing 5 15/16th pounds for a total weight of 7 2/16th pounds.

Members of the Wooden Shoes sectional squad were Kendall Tabbert, Andy Isley, Kyle McMahon and Devin Mette. The head coach is Jeff Niebrugge and driver was Derek Gaddis.

The alternate team at sectional was Jared Bloemer, Noah Pals, Cole Jansen and Wade Probst. Driver was Ronnie Putnam.

Buffalo Grove captured first place with a total of nine fish weighing 13 7/16th pounds followed in the top five by Mahomet-Seymour with five fish weighing 10 12/16th pounds, West Frankfort with six fish weighing 10 5/16th pounds, Farmington No. 1 with seven fish weighing 10 5/16th pounds and Molene with seven fish weighing 10 4/16th pounds.

Big Bass went to Brok Isaac (Mahomet-Seymour) with one weighing 4 1/16 pounds Wednesday and Tanner Nelson (Batavia) with one fish weighing 3 8/16 pounds Thursday.
