T-town Competing in Bass Fishing State Finals

CARLYLE -- Teutopolis High School is competing in the IHSA Bass Fishing State Finals but the Wooden Shoes didn't have much luck Wednesday on Lake Carlyle.

T-town caught only one fish for a total weight of 1 3/16ths pounds.

Members of the Wooden Shoes sectional squad were Kendall Tabbert, Andy Isley, Kyle McMahon and Devin Mette. The head coach is Jeff Niebrugge and driver was Derek Gaddis.

The alternate team at sectional was Jared Bloemer, Noah Pals, Cole Jansen and Wade Probst. Driver was Ronnie Putnam.

Moline leads the field with five fish weighing 8 1/16th pounds followed by Buffalo Grove with five fish weighing 7 15/16ths pounds, Tolono Unity #2 with three fishing weighing 7 13/16ths pounds, Mahomet-Seymour with three fishing weighing 7 7/16ths pounds and finishing out the top five, Minooka #1 with five fish weighing 6 15/16ths pounds.

T-town is tied for 33rd.

The Big Bass was turned in by Brok Isaac of Mahomet-Seymour at 4 1/16th pounds.
