St. Anthony Athletes Honored At Banquet

St. Anthony High School athletes received awards recently at the Fall Athletic Banquet.

Winning girls tennis awards were, D.J. Brummer (Most Valuable Player Singles), Anna Utz and Lexie Niebrugge (Most Valuable Player Doubles) and Lexie Niebrugge (Highest Winning Percentage).

Miranda Rohlfing claimed two girls golf awards. Rohlfing won Low Scoring Average and Most Valuable Player. Kyla Burton was named Most Improved. Mariah Bushue won the Sportsmanship award while Madison Bushue claimed the Team Spirit award. Sara Ragland was named Most Dedicated.

Boys golf awards went to Joe Powell for Low Average Varsity, Garrett Hixenbaugh for Most Improved and Nick Wortman for Low Average Junior Varsity.

Girls cross country awards went to Carson Fonner for Top Runner, Paige Koester for Most Improved and Claire Willenborg won the Francis Bloemer award.

Boys cross country awards went to Peter Keller for Top Runner, Andrew Gardewine for Most Improved and Jake Spraul won the Francis Bloemer award.

Dylan Boggs claimed the Most Dedicated award in soccer. Patrick Martelli won the Captain's award. Nick Nosbisch was named Best All-Around and Charlie Schultz claimed the Most Valuable Player award.

Ben Hecht picked up two awards in the sport of baseball. Hecht was named the Most Valuable Player and won the Highest Batting Average award. Jacob Lorenz claimed the Gold Glove award. Zach Gardewine was named the Cy Young award winner. Eli Dasenbrock was named Mr. Bulldog and Neil Williams Mr. Hustle.
