St. Anthony Scholastic Bowl Team Places Fourth At State

The St. Anthony Junior High Scholastic Bowl team placed fourth in the State Friday at the Illinois Elementary School Association Tournament held at the Peoria Civic Center.

The Bullpups lost their first match in pool play to Normal Metcalf, who eventually went on to place first in Class A.  The St. Anthony team then defeated Amboy and Ottawa Wallace to capture second place in its pool.  In the third place game, St. Anthony was defeated by Champaign St. Matthew.  St. Anthony earned fourth place overall and was presented with medals and a plaque.
