Altamont Beats South Central in Scholar Bowl Contest

FARINA -- The Altamont scholastic bowl team traveled to South Central to play a pair of National Trail Conference games for both the varsity and the junior varsity teams.

The JV won over Brownstown but fell to South Central.

In varsity action the Indians won both games. In the first round Altamont beat South Central 85-19. Luke Armstrong and Ethan Deadmond scored 10 points each and Christian Stuckemeyer led Altamont with 30 points. South Central’s Joey Rose had 10 points.

In the third round Altamont played Brownstown and came out on top 205–100. Armstrong, Robert Harder and Stuckemeyer each tallied 20 points and Shelby Jones rang in with 10 points. The high scorer for the Indians in the second game was Deadmond with 40 points. The Bombers had two players with 20 points each, Kaity Yorde and Kayla Black.

The next Altamont game is Monday against Beecher City.
