Area Competitors at Illinois State Fair

Several area drivers and trainers had horses competing at the Illinois State Fair Harness Racing Wednesday.

Newton's J.D. Finn drove Elegant Rosie to a third place finish in the 2-Year-Old Fillies Trot. Winning was Powerful Goddess in 2:00.0.

Altamont's Ray Hanna had several horses competing that he has trained. In the 3-Year-Old Colts & Geldings Pace, Legal Brief captured second place. In the Non-Winners of 2 Pari-mutuel Races or $4,000 Lifetime Pace, Gary's Party finished third. In the 3-Year-Old Colts & Geldings Trot, Powerful Lane captured fourth place.

Newton's Jared Finn guided One High Game to victory in the 3-Year-Old Colts & Geldings Trot. Finn took One High Game to the win in 1:59.2. Finn also trains One High Game. Finn was also behind Dakota's Model who finished sixth in the 3-Year-Old Cotls & Geldings Pace.

Altamont's Pamela Coleman, drove in the Amateur Drivers race behind Walter Brown and finished third. Coleman also trains Walter Brown.
