(St. Louis, MO) -- Steve Ott is returning to St. Louis. The Blues have signed the 31-year-old forward to a two-year contract. St. Louis acquired Ott in a trade with Buffalo in February. He had three assists in 23 games for the Blues after tallying nine goals and 11 assists with the Sabres before the trade.  Ott spent his first nine seasons with the Dallas Stars. His 1,335 penalty minutes rank sixth among active NHL players.

Vladimir Sobotka agreed to a three-year deal on Thursday with Avangard Omsk of the Kontinental Hockey League in Russia. His agent confirmed the contract with the "Post-Dispatch." The contract is worth more than $4-million per season with an out clause after each season. The winger was in stalled contract talks with St. Louis and racked up 33 points last season.
