A celebrity rode through the streets of Effingham early this morning.

Pippa Middleton, the sister of the Duchess of Cambridge who is married to the future king of England, is a member of a Race Across America bicycle team and pulled in to Effingham early this morning.

She is one of an eight-person team named Michael Matthews Foundation team. The team started in Oceanside, California last Saturday and will be cycling 3,000 miles across America, finishing out at Annapolis, Maryland between June 20-24.

Middleton and her team have been riding 24 hours a day, switching out riders along the way. The team came through early this morning while Effingham residents were still fast asleep.
