(Minneapolis, MN) -- Alexander Steen hit the game-winner in the shootout to lift the Blues to a 3-2 win over the Wild at The X. T.J. Oshie and Carlo Colaiacovo each scored in the first period for St. Louis, which has won five straight. Brian Elliott made 17 saves in net for the victors. Matt Moulson and Jason Pominville both scored in regulation for Minnesota, which has lost two in-a-row. Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 20 shots in his debut for the Wild.
Blackhawks Double Up Sabres
(Buffalo, NY) -- Jonathan Toews scored early in the third period to give the Blackhawks a 2-1 win over the Sabres at the First Niagara Center. Patrick Kane had the other goal in the first period for Chicago, which has won three-of-four. Corey Crawford made 20 saves in net for the victors. Drew Stafford had the lone goal for Buffalo, which has lost three-of-four. Jhonas Enroth made 29 stops in the loss.
Rangers Blank Red Wings
(New York, NY) -- Henrik Lundqvist made 30 saves to guide the Rangers to a 3-0 win over the Red Wings at Madison Square Garden. This is the fourth shutout of the year and the 49th of his career. It was also the 300th win in his career. Chris Kreider had two goals while Brian Boyle notched the other for New York, which has won two straight. Ryan McDonagh and Derek Stepan each had two assists in the win. Jimmy Howard made 28 saves in net for Detroit, which has lost three of its last four.
Bruins Beat Panthers
(Sunrise, FL) -- Patrice Bergeron and Carl Soderberg both notched a goal and an assist as the Bruins beat the Panthers 5-2 in Florida. Bergeron, Torey Krug, Jarome Iginla and Chris Kelly all scored in the third period for Boston, which has won five in-a-row. Chad Johnson made 20 saves in the win. Roberto Luongo allowed four goals on 41 attempts in defeat. Jimmy Hayes scored both goals for Florida, which has lost six of its last eight.
Kings Double Up Oilers
(Edmonton, Alberta) -- The Kings rode a three-goal second period to a 4-2 win over the Oilers at Rexall Place. Jeff Carter scored twice while Alec Martinez and Trevor Lewis also lit the lamp. Carter tacked on an assist while Jonathan Quick stopped 25 shots as Los Angeles won its seventh straight following a four-game slide. Sam Gagner and Taylor Hall each had a goal and assist for Edmonton while Ben Scrivens stopped 46 shots in goal. The Oilers have lost four out of six.
