Local Sports Calendar

This is the 9th year of the Independence Day Parking Lot Party and the Effingham Event Center will have Danny Shelton and the Birddogs playing before and after the fireworks. 

The Effingham Knights of Columbus will have Niemerg’s at the party, cooking up hamburgers, porkburger, hot dogs, steak sandwiches, walking tacos and other “picnic foods”. Toppins Ice Cream is also back, along with Macklin's Kettle Corn, to satisfy any sweet treat cravings.  Big Al’s Shakeups is really busy and said they will try to make the party. 

The playground will be available for the kids, horseshoe pits for the adults, and room is available for other outdoor games. 

Parking is first come, first served and lawn areas will be reserved for chairs and blankets to watch the fireworks. 

Please note, the Effingham Event Center and grounds are a licensed liquor establishment.  State and local laws do not allow alcohol to be brought onto the premises – so please refrain from bringing alcohol onto the grounds.
