Dr. Nash Naam will speak on the topic of Religious Freedom at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Blue Point on Sunday June 9. Dr. Naam was born in Egypt, emigrated to the USA in 1978, became a Naturalized Citizen in 1995 and is an out-spoken advocate for the American way of life. Aside from being a world renowned hand surgeon, Dr. Naam is well informed on the middle east and persecution of Christian communities in these countries.

The program is sponsored by the Lutheran Layman’s League of the Altamont, Effingham, and Shebyville Circuit Lutheran churches. It is open to the public and anyone who might be interested in becoming better informed on the issues of Religious Liberty is encouraged to attend. St Paul’s church is located at 14026 N. 500th St., Altamont. Adult tickets are $10 and students are free. Please call Larry Wachtel at 217-341-1402 or email him at wachtell1945@gmail.com to make reservations.

The program will begin at 5 PM with a pasta and salad dinner by Joe’s Pizza and Pasta. Polly Gregalli of Lutheran Hour Ministries will provide an update on the media ministries being produced and distributed by their organization.
