UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS EXTENSION MASTER GARDENER 2019 PLANT SALE

The University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners will be hosting a plant sale on Saturday, April 27, 2017 from 7:30 am – 11:30 am at the Effingham County Extension Office located at 1209 Wenthe Drive. Rain or shine this unique opportunity will allow attendees to interact with the Master Gardener! Master Gardeners will be able to answer any questions you may have as it pertains to your vegetable and flower gardens. In additions to plants for sale, attendees can purchase gardening books and other gardening items for your enjoyment.

Cash and checks only will be accepted for your gardening purchases. According to Janet Kennedy, Master Gardener with the U of I Extension Office “The plant sale provides a connection between the Master Gardeners and the local garden community. All the vegetable and flowering plants are provided from the Master Gardeners personal gardens.” Extension would like everyone to know that all revenues generated through the April plant sale will help fund the community garden for 2019, as well as fund other local projects.

The U of I Extension Master Gardener Community Garden is located south of Bob’s Salvage just off of Banker Street. The Master Gardeners will also continue their work on a pollinator garden as well.
