Women's Wellness Event

Ladies, when is the last time you indulged in an evening out for yourselves?  Call a friend and attend HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital’s Women’s Wellness Event onThursday, October 18 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Keller Convention Center. 

The doors open at 4:30 p.m., with hors d’oeuvres and informational displays about St. Anthony’s Women’s Wellness Center services, cancer screening education and Oncology Wellness Program, among other displays.  Pamper yourselves with gift bags, door prizes, and a presentation on a topic that matters to you.

At 6 p.m., Ruben Boyajian, MD, medical director of St. Anthony’s Women’s Wellness and Cancer Care Services, will provide a welcome and introductions.  Dr. Boyajian, along with Steve Jones, MD, pathologist, and Philip Dy, MD, medical oncologist, will give the feature presentation on the topic, “Navigating a Cancer Diagnosis: What to Expect on Your Journey.”  This year’s information will be presented in an entertaining format portraying the interactions between a patient and her doctors on her journey. Information on early detection screenings, a summary of recent advances in the field, what to expect if diagnosed, support services available and the importance of a team approach to cancer treatment will be included.

Admission is free; however, pre-registration is required since seating is limited.  Registrations will be accepted until October 10.  To register, visit St. Anthony’s web site at stanthonyshospital.org/wweor select the “Events and Classes” link, and search for “Women’s Wellness Event,” where you can register online.
