SOUTHWESTERN ELECTRIC HOSTS ELECTRONICS RECYCLING DRIVE
Southwestern Electric Cooperative will host an electronics recycling drive this Saturday, September 22nd, at its St. Elmo warehouse. Collections will begin at 9 a.m. and end at noon or when the recycling truck is filled—whichever comes first.
Electronics will be collected and recycled by a regional, EPA-approved recycling center. You can bring a variety of obsolete electronic devices to the drive, including computers, monitors, printers, video game consoles, cell phones, clocks, and flat screen TVs.
CRT TVs, console TVs and projection TVs will be accepted for a fee ranging from $5-$25 depending on their size and model.
DVDs, CDs, and VHS and cassette tapes will not be accepted.
Southwestern Electric Cooperative’s St. Elmo warehouse is located on the frontage road southwest of the St. Elmo exit on Interstate 70.
