EHS Picks Up Boys Golf Victory, Area Roundup

Effingham's boys golf squad continued to roll along with a 149-195 victory over Casey-Westfield Thursday at the Effingham Country Club.

Medalist was Effingham's Jake Linders with a 34. Also scoring were Jackson Wendling 36, Callaway Smith 36 and Reed Schafer 43. Non-counting scores were Sean Sandifer 46, Brandon Dahnke 48, Michael Woltman 49, Matt Linders 49 and Dustin Gurley 77. EHS is now 8-2.

"Another great night for us," said EHS Coach Jeff Schafer. "Jake took medalist honors with his best round of the year with a two-under-34. Jackson and Callaway had even par 36."

Scoring for the Warriors were Brandon Wolfe 47, Jon Pajak 47, Keegan Decker 48 and Kaleb Repp 53. Non-counting scores were Dale Miller 64 and Patrick Hacker 68. Casey-Westfield drops to 8-10 on the season.

 

At Shelbyville

Shelbyville claimed a boys golf victory over Teutopolis, 170-177. Tyler Schanks and Ryan Stenger were co-medalists for the Rams with a 40 each. Also scoring were Brett Peifer 44 and Tayler Schanks 46. Non-counters were Wil Bolinger 47, Drew Metzger 50 and Zack Stirrett 59.

Scoring for the Wooden Shoes were Chad Zerrusen 43, Justin Kowalski 43, Christian Deters 45 and Ryan Sandschafer 46. Non-counters were Kyle Brumleve 48, Evan Schlink 49 and Garrett Hoene 59. The Shoes drop to 7-7 on the season.

In girls play, Haley Giles had a 46 and Casey Willenborg a 48 for T-town. Kaylee Davis scored 59 and Nikole Holmes a 70 for Shelbyville.

 

At Ramsey

Ramsey captured a 156-165 victory over Altamont. The Rams' Brady Reiss was medalist with a 36. Also scoring were Michael Lay 39, Tyler Marley 40 and Markus Coss 41. Non-counting scores were Carter Hunt 43 and Mason Fesser 50.

Scoring for Altamont were Justin McGinnis 38, Adam Mayhaus 39, Griffin Jackman 43 and Logan Deadmond 45. Non-counting score was Cameron Jackman with a 47.
