Round One Suspended At U.S. Open

(Ardmore, PA) -- Play has been suspended in the first round of the U.S. Open Golf Championship.  Luke Donald is through 13 holes with a four-under to own first place at Merion Golf Club. Phil Mickelson is finished with his first round and is three-under, tied with this year's Masters champion Adam Scott, who is through 11 holes. Defending champion Webb Simpson is two-under through eight holes.

Tiger Woods is two-over par through 10 holes. Play was halted twice totalling over four hours due to weather. The first round will resume at 7:15 a.m. local time on Friday morning.
