T-town Girls Win, St. A Boys Take Triangular

The Teutopolis girls captured a triangular golf meet at Eagle Creek Tuesday and won it on the fifth score tie-breaker.

T-town and Shelbyville both finished with 209 scores. Averie Bushue was medalist for the Shoes with a 41. Also scoring were Abigail Wortman 50, Alaina Helmink 56 and Mollie Koester 62. The fifth tie-breaker score was Lexie Niebrugge with a 63. Non-counting was Josie Deters with a 69.

T-town is now 4-6-1 on the season.

 

At Effingham

Vandalia claimed a triangular boys meet at Effingham with a 145 score followed by the Hearts with 181 and Teutopolis 188.

Vadalina Riley Rukman scored a 34 for medalist honors. Also scoring for the Vandals were Chase Laack 35, Conner McCall 38 and Dylan Halford 38. Non-counting scores were Jonah Reesley 49 and Jacob Schall 57.

Effingham's scoring came from Ryker Schnieder 43, Colby Hayner 43, Preston Latch 47 and Nick Burgess 48. Non-counters were Max Woelfer 49 and Ethan Ritz 49.

Scoring for T-town were Hayden Jansen 45, Andy Niebrugge 46, Gabe Schlink 48 and Ethan Thoele 49. Non-counting scores were Jack Poelker 52 and Max Neibrugge 54.

 

At Shelbyville

Effingham St. Anthony picked up a triangular boys golf victory at Eagle Creek Tuesday.

The Bulldogs tallied a 158 behind the low scoring of Thomas Chojnicki with a 37 and Lane Ludwig with a 38. Other counters were Michael Martelli 41 and Jonathan Willenborg 42. Non-counting were Aidan Tegeler 43 and Charlie Wegman 47.

Okaw Valley placed second with a 183. Scoring were Harlin 44, Montgomery 44, Vanderburgh 46 and Hall 49. Non-counters were Nichols 53 and Webner 56.

Scoring for Vandaila with a 193 were Dove 41, Grabb 47, Billingsley 50 and Hilbert 55. Non-counting scores were Hedderich 64 and Mitchell 67.
