EHS Girls Nab Golf Triangular, Boys Second

SULLIVAN -- Effingham High School was a triangular winner in girls golf competition at the Sullivan Country Club Thursday.

The Hearts tallied 203 followed by Teutopolis 226 and Sullivan 240.

Scoring for the Hearts was medalist Ava Boehm with a 36 followed by Anna Sigg 48, Marah Kirk 58 and Anna Hirtzel 61. Non-counting scores were Ella Niebrugge 64 and Annie Frost 67. Marissa Allie had a 59 and Emilie Vincent a 70. The Hearts are now 3-1 on the season.

Scoring for T-town were Averie Bushue 43, Abigail Wortman 58, Josie Deters 62 and Alaina Helmink 63. Non-counting score was Mollie Koester 65.

Scoring for Sullivan were Abby Kirkwood-Ray 56, Alyssa Shriver 57, Morgan Moll 63 and Laura Herschberger 64. Non-counters were Hannah Righter 67 and Ava Shriver 69.

In the boys meet, Sullivan won with 170 followed by Effingham 185 and Teutopolis 212.

Sullivan's Drew Rogers was medalist with a 40. Also scoring were Leyton Ellis 43, Logan Westjohn 43 and Camden Dwyer 44. Non-counters were Del Diepholz 44 and Matt Welch 47.

Scoring for Effingham were Colby Haynes 45, Ryker Schneider 46, Nick Burgess 46 and Preston Latch 48. Non-counting scores were Ethan Ritz 49 and Max Woelfer 50.

Scoring for Teutopolis were Andy Niebrugge 45, Gabe Schlink 52, Hayden Jansen 55 and Ethan Thoele 60. Non-counters were Bennett Thompson 63 and James Niebrugge 69. Additional Wooden Shoes scores were Zach Niebrugge 48, Kole Ohnesorge 53, Tyler Pruemer 59, Peyton Tegler 60, Kayden Zerrusen 62, Austin Bloemer 64 and Joey Niebrugge 65.
