Wooden Shoes Capture Boys Golf Win, Girls Second

CASEY -- Teutopolis High School handed Casey-Westfield a loss in boys golf competition Thursday, 185-189.

 

Scoring for the Wooden Shoes were Gabe Schlink with a 44, Jack Poelker 46, Hayden Jansen 46 and Andy Niebrugge 49.

Non-counting scores were Kayden Zerrusen 51, Zach Niebrugge 54, James Niebrugge 55, Bennett Thompson 57, Ethan Thoele 57, Peyton Tegler 58, Gage Wendt 60, Kole Ohnesorge 71, Austin Bloemer 72 and Nick Buehnekemper 81.

 

At Cardinal Golf Course

Teutopolis finished second in a close triangular girls golf meet at Cardinal Golf Course Thursday.

Shelbyville won the meet with 200 strokes followed by Teutopolis 201 and Mount Zion 201.

Scoring for the Shoes were Averie Bushue with a 45, Mollie Koester with a 51, Abigail Wortman with a 52 and Alaina Helmink with a 53. Non-counting scores were Lexie Niebrugge 58 and Josie Deters 66.

T-town is now 0-4-1 on the season.
