Charleston High School captured the championship of the Apollo Conference Boys Golf Tournament Monday.

The Trojans tallied a 311 followed by Lincoln 327, Mattoon 329, Mount Zion 338, Effingham 352, Mahomet-Seymour 361 and Taylorville 402.

"We finished a disappointing fifth," said EHS Coach Jeff Schafer. "We made just too many big numbers today. We have to play more for the team and less about our own score. We gave away too many shots because of that. We are much better than we showed today. We need to bounce back this next week as we are running out of tomorrows."
