Effingham Girls Win Dual w/Charleston; Other Thursday Results

Effingham easily won a girls dual match with Charleston Thursday at Effingham Country Club, 169 to 201.

 

Ava Boehm of Effingham was the medalist, firing a 37. Morgan Krouse was right behind with a 39. Kennedy Collier shot a 42 and Anna Sigg had a 51 for the counting scores. Also for Effingham: Jaelyn Boone 52, Anna Hirtzel 58, Madi Stortzum 63.

Hannah Harpster shot a 42 to lead Charleston.

St. Anthony won a girls quadragular Thursday at Oak Terrace at Pana with a 177 team total. That was well ahead of the other three squads; Lincolnwood/Morrisonville 223, Pana 234, and Taylorville 263.

St. Anthony scores: Morgan Schuette was medalist with a 41. Other counting scores: Nina Hakman 45, Maddie Brummer 45, Reagan Westendorf 46. Cara Hakman also shot a 46.

St. Anthony's boys smoked the competition in a triangular Thursday at Oak Terrace in Pana.

St. Anthony's 151 score compared to Taylorville's 200 and Pana's 220.

The Bulldogs had four golfers break 40; Luke Flaig was medalist with a 35, Thomas Chojnicki shot a 38, and Jayden Rios and Michael Martelli each shot a 39. Also for St. Anthony: Ryan Schultz 41, Darin Hutchison 43, Aidan Tegeler 47.
