EHS, St. A Win in Girls Golf, T-town in Boys

SALEM -- Ava Boehm shot a 37 to claim medalist honors as Effingham High School handed Salem a 183-231 loss at the Salem Country Club Tuesday.

Also scoring for the Hearts were Kennedy Collier 42, Anna Sigg 47 and Anna Hirtzel 57. Jaelyn Boone had a 58.

Scoring for the Wildcats were Kenzie Anderson 44, Lauren Ice 48, Haley Duncan 64 and Emma Brandon 75. Non-counter was Maggie Telford 80.

 

At Champaign

Effingham St. Anthony edged Champaign St. Thomas More, 168-171 in girls golf action Tuesday.

Medalist was St. Thomas More's Alaina Bowie with a 36. But the Bulldogs came through with two 40 scores as Macy Ludwig and Lauren Schwing tallied. Ellie Wegman finished with a 43 while Nina Hakman had a 45.

Non-counters were Cara Hakman 46, Morgan Schuette 47, Maddy Brummer 47, Reagan Westendorf 50 and Jessica Coffin 54.

Scoring for St. Thomas More were Bowie, Sammy Miller 42, Mia Kirby 46 and Brooke Erhard 47. Non-counters were Tessa Tomaso 50, Leah Piefer 58 and Cameron Endsley 65.

 

At Charleston

Charleston High School picked up a 197-239 victory over Teutopolis Tuesday.

T-town's Averie Bushue was medalist with a score of 45. Also scoring for the Wooden Shoes were Maggie Koester 58, Alaina Helmink 67 and Abigail Wortman 69. Mollie Koester also had a 69.

 

At Pana

Teutopolis was a 195-211 winner over Pana in boys golf competition Tuesday.

Pana's Byers was medalist with a 44. But T-town's Drew Kerner scored a 46 followed by Gavin Meyer 47, Gabe Schlink 50 and Andy Niebrugge 52.

Non-counters were Zach Ruholl 53, Peyton Tegler 57, Kayden Zerrusen 60, Gage Wendt 68 and Nick Buehnekemper 71.

Other scorers for the Panthers were Temmen 47, Rhodes 56 and Puckett 64. Non-counters were Sprackler 65, Perry 69 and Elledge 72.
