"This is a good tournament for us," said St. Anthony Coach Phil Zaccari. "Coach Lockhart and his staff as well as the staffs of Mattoon C.C. and Meadowview G.C. do a wonderful job hosting this event. Being one of the smallest schools here and finishing in the top10 is a good measuring stick for this team. The courses were set up to challenge the golfers. They were a good test of patience. We grinded pretty well and the guys stepped up.

"We definitely need to putt better as we missed a lot of short ones that could have moved us up in the standings. Overall a pretty good performance."

Effingham was 28th with a 387.

"This was our best score of the year by 18 shots," said EHS Coach Jeff Schafer. "Aiden Beck played great, shooting his career low 76. Tate Niebrugge had an 81, Ben Donsbach had an 85 and Austin Waldhoff had an 88. Nick Burgess and Ryker Schneider had a 107 each.

T-town finished last with a 442 total. Scoring for the Wooden Shoes were Drew Kerner 99, Zach Ruholl 112, Gavin Meger 115 and Andy Niebrugge 116. Gabe Schlink tallied a 116.
