The St Anthony Bulldogs boys golf team participated in the National High School Golf Association’s inaugural National High School Golf Invitational held at the Walt Disney World Palm And Magnolia Courses. The event took place over four days June 25-28.

“We played practice rounds on the 25th and 26th with the actual tournament played the 27th and 28th,” said Coach Phil Zaccari.

The Bulldogs represented the state of Illinois and included the following team members: Luke Ludwig, Nathan Schultz, Ben Strullmyer, Zach Wortman, Luke Flaig, Jayden Rios, and Ryan Schultz. The team finished 19th overall.

“The weather was hot and we did not perform as well as we had hoped. You could definitely tell we were a little rusty,” said Coach Zaccari. “The competition was amazing and the experience is one we will remember for a very long time. This was one last opportunity for our seniors to compete together as well as give our incoming seniors valuable experience.”
