Effingham High School finished second in a quadrangular boys golf meet Wednesday.

Host Mattoon won with a 165 followed by Effingham 189, Tri-County 192 and Shelbyville 220.

Medalist was Mattoon's Tanner Romine with a 36. Also scoring were Colton Romine 42, Meade Johnson 43 and Perry Curtis 44. Non-counters were Caleb Coleman 47 and James Shamdinn 47.

Scoring for the Hearts were Aiden Beck 45, Tate Niebrugge 48, Ryker Schneider 48 and Austin Waldhoff. Non-counter was Colby Heaton 55.

Scoring for Tri-County were Logan Richardson 41, Holden Kile 48, Jacob Knofsky 49 and Caleb Ard 54. Non-counters were Josh Hunt 70 and Mike Thomas 71.

Scoring for Shelbyville were Will Leach 44, Kyle Stander 51, Chance Billingsley 62 and Gabe Dove 63. Non-counter was Ayden Burrell 64.
