Effingham Catholic Charities is teeing up for its 19th Annual Austin Luckett Memorial Golf Tournament, to be held Friday, May 11.  The annual golf outing, held at the Cardinal Golf Course, is a fundraising event for the Effingham-based charity.

The tournament is open to four-member teams or individual participants may be paired with a team; handicaps will not be used.  The cost is $80 per player and includes Greens Fees, cart rental, food, and beverages. hamburgers, brats, munchies, and on-course beverages will be available all day.  Registration begins at 11 a.m.  The scramble begins with a shotgun start at noon. Morning golf will be available to accommodate an excess of 27 teams.  Hole sponsors are $100/sponsor.

Top raffle prize will be $500 cash.

During the past 18 years over $200,000 has been raised to serve people in need.

For those who enjoy the sport of golf and the outdoors in the spring, being part of a team would be one way to support Catholic Charities.  For those who are unable to participate as golfers, they can help by being hole sponsors, raffle prize donors, and volunteers during the tournament itself.  If you cannot do any of the above, monetary donations are always welcome. Those interested may contact Catholic Charities office at 217-857-1458.
