Bulldogs Claim Two Golf Wins, T-town Girls Capture Triangular

ROBINSON -- Effingham St. Anthony High School claimed two wins over host Robinson at the Quail Creek Golf Course Monday.

The Bulldogs tallied a 164-180 win in boys action. Luke Ludwig was the medalist for the Bulldogs with a 38 followed by Nathan Schultz 41, Zach Wortman 41 and Dylan Ferguson 44. Ben Strullmyer had a 45 and Ethan Rozene a 51.

Takoda Wheeler had a 40 for Robinson. Also scoring were Cole Johnson 45, Alex Weber 47 and Nick Weber 48. Non-counters were Mason McKee 52 and Levi Middleton 63.

In girls action, the Bulldogs won 139-162. Scoring were the top three players and that included Macy Ludwig, who was medalist with a 45, Jessica Coffin 47 and Reagan Westendorf 47. Non-counters were Morgan Schuette 48, Claire McHugh 48 and Ava Wegman 54.

Scoring for the Maroons were Abby Ferris 50, Maddy Byrley 55 and Nya Schulte 57.

In a junior varsity boys contest at the Flora Country Club, the homestanders won 166-175.

Flora's Aven Kimmel was medalist with a 38 followed by Drew Woodrow 39, Carter Collins 42 and Mason Rinehart 47. Non-counts were Ty Warren 50 and Landon Carder 53.

Scoring for the Bulldogs were Jayden Rios 41, Ryan Schultz 44, Luke Flaig 45 and Darin Hutchison 45. Non-counter was Alex Erickson 48.

 

At Teutopolis

The Teutopolis girls varsity squad defeated Mattoon and Salem. Teutopolis tallieed a 205 followed by Mattoon 213 and Salem 228.

T-town's scorers were Maddie Hoene 47, Allie Niebrugge 50, Madison Magee 54 and Mattie Thoele 54. Non-counters were Averie Bushue 59 and Macy Vogt 59.
