Bulldogs Claim Two Wins, Golf Roundup

Effingham St. Anthony High School claimed two boys golf victories in action Tuesday.

The Bulldogs split the squad and won at Salem 181-190. Nathan Schultz was the medalist with a 41.

Also scoring were Luke Ludwig 44, Zach Wortman 45 and Dylan Ferguson 51. Non-counters were Ethan Rozene 54 and Ben Strullmyer 60.

Scoring for Salem were Max Phillips 43, Justin Stinson 47, Cameron Hoard 49 and Jared Hubler 51. Non-counters were Noah Griffen 57 and Jake Hope 60.

In a match at Foreway Golf Course, St. Anthony beat Mattoon 163-192.

Luke Flaig was medalist with a 37 followed by Jayden Rios 40, Alex Ericksen 42 and Ryan Schultz 44. Non-counting score was Darin Hutchison 55.

Scoring for Mattoon were Mason Phipps 45, Colton Romine 48, Perry Curtis 48 and Josh Ramage 49. Non-counting scores were James Shamtin 51 and Alex Houser 53.

 

At Pana

Altamont finished in the middle of a triangular golf match at Oak Terrace Resort Tuesday.

Hillsboro won with a 150 followed by Altamont 206 and Pana 208.

Medalist was Hillsboro's Eickhoff with a 34.

Altamont was led by Grant Schmidt with a 44. Also scoring were Noah Kopplin 51, Harrison Fitzjarrald 55 and Austin Wendling 56. Non-counters were Nathan Hill 58 and Addie Smith 60. The Indians are now 2-2 on the season.
